We are getting older and no one
can deny it. People say age is just a number and I am agreed with that though something
inside me freaking out a little bit (actually more than a little bit) when I get
birthday wishes on my Facebook wall every year.
I smile, laugh and enjoy every
minute of my life and I could tell to everyone that I’m young at heart but my
slowly sagging face and skin definitely do not know how to lie. And another matter
is underneath my skin; my flesh, my bones my organ and they are aging too. But what can I do then, this aging is not
inevitable as we are programmed to be older. In the next few years I may have
to change my eyeglasses to multifocal eyeglasses, and to be more discipline on
my daily milk intake against decreasing calcium in my bones. This is normal and
I cannot stop and prevent this normal aging.
But what I can stop and prevent is
accidental aging. Aging due to my body and cells damaged by overuse and abuse
caused by diet, toxin and bacteria, by excess consumption of fat, sugar, caffeine,
alcohol, nicotine, by the UV rays of the sun and by many other physical and
emotional stresses.
And this accidental aging is
increasing, and more to our worry is that now days it is increased among young
people. We hear from our friends or news about a young man age 30 years old
died due to heart attack. A woman age 40 was diagnosed with breast cancer or another
man age 35 was admitted to hospital due to lung cancer. What can we do to stop
all these disease? That 30 years old man still young, he supposed to have a strong
immune system to resist attack against his organ, strong cells to repair damage
to his organ but his body failed due to this accidental aging.
I do not wish to go further as
this health issue has become every day talk and a never ending story. But now
what I want to do is to declare war on this aging (have started slowly long
time ago). Definitely war on this accidental aging and for sure also for
someone like me who like to look pretty and young outside to declare war on the
natural aging as well, which I will go lengthy on my next post :)
